New iPhone App connects people with community services

Ever wondered who to call for help?  It’s a great question considering North Carolina has more than 20,000 nonprofits providing every form of service.  Finding help is now easier than ever for iPhone users with the launch of the new NC 2-1-1 iPhone App.

There are apps for travel, tipping, organizing your life and so much more, but now the NC 2-1-1 app makes it simple and easy to find community resources all across North Carolina.

“We are excited to take our 2-1-1 access to the next level in our community by launching a cutting-edge iPhone app,”  said Jim Morrison, President of United Way of North Carolina.  “Now you can dial 2-1-1 on your phone, search nc211.org on the web or you can connect through an iPhone app.  Thanks to NC 2-1-1, help is always at your finger-tips”
