Self-Sufficiency Standard Launch & UWNC Annual Meeting

Announcing the release of the Self-Sufficiency Standard! 

Thursday, February 16 - LAUNCH OF SELF-SUFFICIENCY STANDARD and ECONOMIC SECURITY PATHWAY REPORTS

10:00-11:30am - Principal Researcher Diana Pearce of Washington University will share the Self-Sufficiency Standard (SSS) and Economic Pathways reports for North Carolina. Participants will have an opportunity to evaluate the data and discuss how it aligns with their work, and identify ways to build advocacy and action for community improvement. THIS DISCUSSION IS FREE OF CHARGE!

United Way Staff Only: 1:30-4:30pm - United Way leadership will dive into the SSS data and create stories to compliment work in North Carolina communities. Problem solving techniques will be used to demonstrate how the data can support current priorities or be used to initiate new areas of work. Every United Way will leave with a "SSS Launch" press kit that can be used to promote their work with the SSS in their local community.  

6:00pm - Networking Reception and Dinner - Casual Attire

Friday, February 17 - UWNC ANNUAL MEETING AND SPIRIT OF NC CELEBRATION!

8:15am - UWNC and NC 2-1-1 Board Member breakfast followed by  combined meeting at 9:00am.

9:30am - Spirit of North Carolina Best Practice Showcase by Award Winning Companies

Noon - UWNC Annual Meeting and Spirit of NC Celebration

All activities will conclude by 2:00pm.
